Mission Statement

History

The Mike Tice Foundation was established by my wife Diane and me in 2019 to support numerous charitable events, organizations and causes. We have committed ourselves to raise money for organizations that help the youth in our communities. We would like to support the youth in the Northwest and throughout the United States through such organizations as Boys & Girls Clubs, Back Packs for Kids, Coats for Kids, scholarships and mental health programs. With the dedication of our volunteers, staff members and partners we believe we can help shape the lives of our country's youth in a positive and impactful way. Join us to help make a difference.

It was 10 years ago that I started a two day charity golf event at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden, NV. The participants in the event were my family and friends from New York, Minnesota, Seattle and across the country. That first year was 2011 and we raised about $25,000 though a raffle, live and silent auctions and a golf tournament. Mike Pegram, my friend and owner of the Carson Valley Inn, and I decided the money would go to the Boys & Girls Club of the Carson Valley to help with the funding of a new clubhouse for "the kids". We have raised over $1.2 million for the Club. About two years ago I asked the Carson Valley community to get more actively involved in our mission and man did they ever. I am excited to say because of the Valley's involvement we are very close to achieving our goal of a new clubhouse for the youth of the Carson Valley.

In 2019, my wife Diane and I started The Mike Tice Foundation and committed ourselves to raise money for other charitable events, organizations and causes. I love the three day format we use for our Charity Weekend in Minden, NV and we were going to use a similar format this August 1-3 at the Little Creek Casino Resort, in Shelton, WA. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic our weekend event in Minden was cancelled and our charity weekend in Shelton has changed dramatically. Join us for our Celebrity Golf Event on Monday, August 3rd and help add to our history.
